Homecoming Spirit Week: Disney vs Pixar










The Agriculture Construction class just finished up this beautiful cedar kitchen table this week!

The Junior class worked together in groups to make a primitive shelter to go along with our Lord of the Flies book. After creating their shelter, they wrote directions explaining how to recreate the structure they chose. The glue was “mud” and rubber bands were “vines”.



FBLA Valentine order forms are being sent home with students this week. There are extra copies in the front office! Orders are due Friday, February 7th.

Congratulations to our very own Claire Baker on winning the Pen Essay Contest hosted by the Galmey VFW Post 9638! This essay contest is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and at this entry level, open to all Hickory County schools. Claire's winning essay, titled "My Voice in America's Democracy," will advance to the VFW District level competition in Springfield. The next two levels in the competition include the Department level in Jefferson City and the National level in Washington D.C.
