Ann Hood once said, "I have learned there is more power in a good strong hug than in a thousand meaningful words." Today was our last school day with Ms. Kim as she moves on to retirement. 21 years in education...18 years at Wheatland...countless lives touched. Former students gathered around her one more time for a picture and a hug. Education is a rewarding career but it's hard. Many leave or do not even consider the profession for a variety of reasons. Thanks not only to Ms. Kim for her years of sacrifice and love but to all those teachers out there retiring. You are special human beings who have continued to push on even when there have been challenging days, weeks, students and classes. Thanks for staying the course and helping students discover their gifts. How about those Mules!? Wheatland Baseball defeated Climax Springs in the district semi- finals followed by a win over Hermitage in the championship game tonight in Hermitage. The Mules are District Champs! Congrats boys! They will play at Lakeland on Monday, game time is TBA.

GAME DAY! Our HS Baseball team will be playing at 1:00 in the semifinal game against Climax Springs at Hermitage. The next semifinal game will be Stoutland v. Hermitage at 3:00. The winners of both games will face off at 5:00 for the district championship. Good luck Mules! We are all rooting for you! #wearewheatland #onemoretime
Mrs. Pearson finally had a second to weigh all of our pop tabs and there was a lot! Congratulations to 8th grade on bringing in the most at 35lbs of pop tabs total and winning the pizza party. The school was able to collect 79 lbs of pop tabs total! Way to go Wheatland! We will be collecting again all year next year so be saving those pop tabs over the summer!
Mrs. Gant's second grade designed a nature bracelet in art today.
Middle and high school students spent the day below the dam as a reward for Map and EOC testing.
The District Baseball Tournament starts tomorrow at Hermitage. The Mules will play at 1pm on Wednesday in the semi-finals. See you there!
