*Wheatland Booster Club Scholarship- $500 LOCAL scholarship given to two Wheatland 2023 graduating seniors who participate or have participated in a sport - Deadline is April 1, 2023 - see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Wheatland Alumni Association Scholarship- $500 LOCAL scholarship given to one (sometimes two) Wheatland 2022 graduating senior(s) who has attended here all four years of high school - Deadline is April 1, 2023 - see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Wheatland PTSO Scholarship- $500 LOCAL scholarship given to two Wheatland 2023 graduating seniors, with preference given to those who have participated with PTSO - Deadline is April 1, 2023 - see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Hermitage Lions Club Scholarship- $500 LOCAL scholarship given to one Wheatland 2023 graduating senior - Deadline is April 1, 2023 - see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Oak Star Bank Good Citizen Scholarship- $1500 LOCAL scholarship given to one Wheatland 2023 graduating senior - Deadline is April 1, 2023 - see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Pomme de Terre Ministerial Alliance - $1000 LOCAL scholarship given to one Wheatland 2023 graduating senior – Deadline March 25, 2023 – see Mrs. Lewis for application

*Hickory County Farmer's Mutual Scholarship- $500 LOCAL scholarship given to one Wheatland 2023 graduating senior - Deadline is March 26, 2023- see Mrs. Lewis for application

*POMME DE TERRE RENDEZVOUS SCHOLARSHIP

The Rendezvous Scholarship is awarded to a Wheatland graduate in the amount of $750. Please see Mrs. Lewis for information and application - Deadline to return to Mrs. Lewis is April 9, 2023.

*HERMITAGE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SCHOLARSHIP

The Hermitage Knights of Columbus awards four $500 scholarships annually. One scholarship is awarded to a Senior student in each Hickory County School. To be eligible a student

  • Be a Senior on track for graduation

  • Must be accepted into a university, college or technical school and enrolled in a program to pursue a degree or certificate.

  • Student must demonstrate leadership, academic proficiency, care for others and productive school and community citizen. Click here for application. Application deadline is March 31, 2022.

*MFA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

One $2000 scholarship will be awarded to a Wheatland High School Senior. The scholarship may be used at the college or university of student's choice and toward any course of student. The scholarship winner is selected by a local selection committee, in making its decision, the committee considers: Scholastic Progress, Citizenship, Extra Curricular Activities, Educational Plans & Financial Need. Scholarships are available in the counselor's office. Applications muse be turned into the counselor by February 10, 2023. Click here for application.

*OCHC SCHOLARSHIP

Five $1000 scholarships will be given to graduating Seniors residing in Hickory and Dallas County. To be eligible a student must be entering post educational education in the field of medical, dental or behavioral health. Click here for application. Deadline is February 28, 2023.

HAWTHORN BANK SCHOLARSHIP

Hawthorn Bank will offer four $1000 scholarship to deserving high school seniors for the 2021-2022 school year.

Applications are due to the bank no later than March 31, 2023. The current application is available here.

CMH MEDICAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

The Medical Excellence Fund was established by CMH to encourage students from the surrounding areas to begin a rewarding career in the medical profession and to provide the financial support to fulfill their dreams. Students planning to pursue college in the areas of medical school, nursing, therapy, pharmacy, and other fields are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based upon scholastic achievements, aptitude, financial need, and the available resources and professional needs of CMH. The amount of financial assistance varies with each recipient based upon the chosen medical field and the number of scholarships awarded each year. If selected for this scholarship, the student will commit to return to work for CMH for a period of time that is based upon the amount of assistance that was provided. MISSOURI ASSOCIATION OF MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANIES (MAMIC)

Each year, The Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (MAMIC) awards 8 - $1000 scholarships to graduating Missouri high school seniors planning to attend a Missouri college, university, community college, or vocational school. In addition, MAMIC also awards 1 - $1000 scholarship to a current college student. Attached you will find a flyer that briefly details these scholarship opportunities. The eligibility guidelines to be considered for the MAMIC High School Scholarship are as follows:

* Graduating High School Senior living in Missouri

* Candidate must be attending a Missouri high school.

* Candidate must have successful admission to a college, university, community college, or vocational school in Missouri

* Candidate must submit the MAMIC High School Scholarship application with a copy of high school transcript and photo by Monday, March 15, 2023. Scholarship application link here.

MARE (MISSOURI ASSOCIATION OF RURAL EDUCATION)

The level of economic development of an area is directly related to the quality of education available. To improve the economic development of rural Missouri, an adequate number of well-trained, dedicated teachers must be available to instruct in rural school districts.

The goals to be achieved through the Rural Missouri Scholarship Fund include: 

Attracting quality teachers to rural school districts 

Improving the economic development of rural communities by upgrading the education system to provide a well-educated, skilled work force 

Attract intelligent, energetic individuals to furnish leadership skills in rural communities.
