K-5 Character Development & Social Skills

I meet with Kindergarten through Fifth grade once a month to help students attain the desired Grade Level Expectations (GLE's) in the areas of social/emotional, academic and career development. Each month a different Big Idea is addressed through a variety of modalities including videos, discussion, games and books.

October: Interacting With Others in Ways That Respect Individual and Group Differences

November: Applying Personal Safety Skills and Coping Strategies

December: Applying Skills Needed for Educational Achievement

January: Applying the Skills of Transitioning Between Educational Levels

February: Developing and Monitoring Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP)

March: Applying Career Exploration And Planning Skills In The Achievement Of Life Career Goals

April: Knowing Where And How To Obtain Information About The World Of Work And Post-Secondary Training/Education
